Triumph Desert Sled Fork Brace (Pre-Unit and Unit)
These fork braces are designed after those used by desert racers (like Bud Ekins, Steve McQueen, etc...) in the 1960's and 1970's to give their desert sleds better stability at high speeds over rough terrain. Despite the throwback look, these are engineered to reduce weight and improve some of the aesthetics compared to the originals. Materials have been selected to provide excellent performance and corrosion resistance. They're made in the USA from CNC machined high grade 6061-T6 aluminum, custom bent stainless steel tubing and the hardware is all stainless steel. The surface finish on all parts is exceptional and ready to be used as-is or they could be polished, painted or powder coated to the owners liking.
These braces are designed to fit various vintage Pre-Unit and Unit Triumph models from the 1950's up through 1970. They may fit other makes/models as well... If you're curious whether they will fit your fork lowers measure the diameter with a caliper - they should be approximately 1.67" or 42.3mm. Please let me know if you have any questions.
